Bud Ice Bay aka Esme
Arabian, $750 obo
15 hh Chestnut Mare

Bud Ice Bay (Esme) is a fantastic mover with classic Arabian type and personality. She is being sold as a broodmare or a project horse and has produced several stunning foals. She is a registered Arabian.
I am selling Esme because she has reared on occasion and is therefore not fit for my lesson program and my summer camp. She has proven to be a bit too much for me but I don't know how she'd be in someone else's hands. It could be as simple as getting her teeth floated or her back adjusted, I just know that she can't be the lesson horse that I need and I cant afford a personal show horse right now, despite wanting to keep her for myself.
She has shown 4h in the past and travels well, behaves in a stall, leads, ties, bathes and clips (though it takes patience and understanding to clip her legs). She moves nicely in a frame and accepts the bit readily, and she has schooled shoulder in, leg yeild, halt to canters, turn on the forehand/haunches, etc. Like I said: If I could afford a show horse I would keep her! She has also jumped 2'6" but was a bit rushy and should probably spend some time schooling 2' until she builds her confidence a bit more. She doesn't refuse much, just rushes a bit. She has great knee and could even be used for saddleseat. Her movement is springy and she readily overtracks in all gaits, even when her back is hollow. If I had the resources to keep her, I would in a heartbeat. I just hope to find her a great home.

I know she has produced some stunning babies with her movement and temperment for her previous owner. I believe the last time she foaled was three years ago, and she teases readily to the stallion that lives where she is boarded. I am looking for a very quick sale so have posted her for less than half of her potential value, even in this market. Please make an offer if your are interested. She would be a great addition to any breeding program.
