Riding Lessons, Weekend Camps and More!

Riding Lessons         Ages 5+                                              Weekly, Year-round                        $35-40/hr

asdfWe have expanded the lesson program to include new instructors and new horses, which means we’re accepting new students! If your child is obsessed with horses and riding, we urge you to consider signing them up for weekly lessons.
Riding lessons are an excellent way to encourage confidence and independence, as well as social skills and active individual expression. We work with students in small groups to form and reach various personal riding goals both in and out of the show ring, (we do not force students to show.) We now have one of the lowest student-to-instructor ratios in southeast Michigan!
Lessons are offered year-round in our indoor and outdoor riding arenas, as well as seasonally. We offer lessons in basic English equitation, classical dressage, huntseat, jumping, starting the young horse and gymkhana, for all ages!

Bucklebury Weekend Camps         Ages 7+                                  Sat 9-1, Sun 9-1                      $120

- Nov 13-14   Fall Drill Camp – Learn to coordinate and plan a musical drill. (independent walk/trot required)
- Nov 20-21   Winter Prep – Learn how horses (and their riders) prepare to make it through the winter chill.

asdf       Need a break from the back-to-school blues? Join us for a weekend adventure of horseback riding, crafts and educational games! Campers will receive two riding lessons on Saturday and one on Sunday, including a mini-horse show for parents on Sunday at noon (and apple cider and donuts, if we’re lucky!). Campers will also make a craft (or two!) unique to our weekend camps.
This is a great break for young minds, and an excellent way to get kids engaged in the outdoors during one of Michigan’s most beautiful seasons! We accept up to 8 children per weekend, and our riding lessons are a maximum of 5 students per instructor.

Bucklebury Winter Camp               Ages 9+                                  Sat 9-1, Sun 9-1                     $120

asdf- Dec 18-19     Winter Wonderland (weather permitting)

Join us for one final hurrah to horseback riding before the chilly Michigan winter sets in. (Of course, we keep on right through the blustery blizzards, but we understand it’s not for everyone!) Campers in Winter Camp will ride twice on Saturday and once on Sunday and, if we’re lucky, we may just be able to go on a snowy winter trail ride! As Sunday afternoon rolls around it’s time for the mini-horse show for family and friends, including hot cocoa and cookies!
Campers are expected to dress in several layers, and to come prepared for the weather. Naturally if the weather takes a turn for the worst, we’ll be calling parents and issuing refunds. We will also have hand warmers available for those oh-so-sensitive fingers! Camp will be cancelled or rescheduled if wind chills are below 10 degrees, or if weather is severe. All cancellations made by the camp will result in the issuing of prorated refunds.
